Thanksgiving Sides

I love Thanksgiving. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings and spending time with family what is not to love!

Here are a few easy to make side dishes for the big day!

Cran-Apple Stuffing

All you need is two boxes of turkey stuffing, 3 Cups of water, 4 TBSP butter, 1 apple, and 1 C of fresh cranberries. Make the stuffing like the box says and then after you stir it all together add 1  diced up apple and 1 C of cranberries. Put your stuffing in an oven safe dish and pop it in the oven to get all good and crispy!

Green Bean Casserole

Grab some fresh or frozen green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and crispy fried onions. I got all of my ingredients from Trader Joes, but you can use what ever kind you like. You can find the recipe and some coupons here.

Roasted Veggies

I used to roast my veggies in the pan with my turkey, but I found that roasting them on a cookie sheet is WAY BETTER! Seriously!!!

This time I used 5 carrots, 1 pkg of Honey Gold potatoes, 1 onion, and 4 garlic cloves mashed. Once they are on the cookie sheet drizzle them with a bit of olive oil and some apple cider vinegar. Then add a pinch of thyme, rosemary, and garlic. Roll up your sleeves and mix them by hand to make sure that they are all coated. Put them in the oven at 475 degrees for about 1 hour. You want to make sure that they get nice and crisp! Once they are done place them in a serving dish.

Corn Bread

I used boxed cornbread mix to make life a bit easier.

These sides are quick and easy, no experience needed! 🙂
