Camp Chili

This weekend we decided to bring our big crockpot camping with us. If you go camping, regardless if it is in a tent or an RV, a crockpot is a must have (as long as you have electricity).

Here is what you need to make the Chili:

1lb Ground Hamburg. I use 96% lean, but feel free to use what ever you like.

2 Bell Peppers chopped.

2 Large Tomatoes Diced and skinned.  (I used 2 pkgs. of cherry tomatoes this time because that’s what we had)

2 Sweet Onions  Diced.

2 Cans of Dark Red Kidney Beans

2 Cans of Light Red Kidney Beans

2 Cans of Black Beans

1 Jalapeño Pepper

2 Garlic Cloves minced

3 Tbsp. Chili Powder

2 Tbsp. Smoked Paprika

1 tsp. Onion Powder

2 tsp. Garlic Powder

Grab the largest crockpot you have and begin throwing in the ingredients in any order you like!

When you put the beans in make sure you throw the liquid in too! Cook on high for about 6 hours. You want to make sure the meat is all cooked.

Top with grated cheese or with whatever floats your chili boat!
