1 Pie crust (feel free to make your own, but I simply didn’t have time)
1 Sheet Rolled Pie Crust
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Allspice
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1/8 tsp. Ginger
Juice of 1/2 an orange (trust me)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Now that that is done, it’s time to start peeling and slicing all of your apples and pears. Once all your apples and pears have been sliced and placed in a mixing bowl (the bigger the better) begin putting the spices on top. You want to save the vanilla and orange juice for last because it will help you mix up the spices.
Next place your apple, pear, and spice mixture in the pie crust and set aside. Don’t be afraid to pile high because they do cook down.
Now that 90 precent of your pie is done, it is time to be a bit crafty.
At this point I am sifting through my cookie cutter draw to find some fall shapes. Yes, I have a cookie cutter draw because I use them for everything!
Unwrap your rolled up dough and cut out enough shapes to decorate your pie. Feel free to use both sheets if you need them.
Once you finish decorating, put your pie in the oven for about an hour or until it’s golden brown and bubbly!
