Beloved Bread Machine

A few years back I decided to get a bread machine. Well let me tell you, it was by far one of the best decisions I ever made. I whip up a loaf on the weekend and we use it all week long. I simply love the smell of freshly baked bread. This bad boy isn’t just for bread either. I make up my cinnamon bun dough in this and you are even supposed to be able to make jam. Now I haven’t tried the jam making yet, but I really do love everything that comes out of it!

Here is a basic bread recipe. I cut down on the unbleached white flour by adding 1/2 C almond flour and 1/2 C coconut flour. You can’t really mess with the sugar, so I stick to pure sugar cane or agave nectar.

Basic Bread Machine Loaf

1 1/2 C warm water

4 Tbsp. Sunflower Oil

1 1/2 tsp. Salt

3 Tbsp. Unrefined Sugar

3 Cups Unbleached Flour

1/2 Cup Almond flour

1/2 Cup Coconut flour

You can omit the almond and coconut flour in favor of another cup of unbleached flour.

1 packet dry active yeast

Place the ingredients in the bread pan from liquid ingredients to solid. Save the yeast for last, and just sprinkle it over the top of everything else.

Choose your bread machine’s BASIC cycle and go about your day until you begin to smell fresh bread and you hear the beep letting you know all of your hard work of placing ingredients in a pan has paid off! Seriously, once you start using a bread machine you won’t want to stop!
