This past weekend we hosted a little birthday party for the girls! We really lucked out with the weather! It was warm but not muggy, and there was a perfect light breeze that made the day even more comfortable. It was a perfect day to celebrate these two lovely ladies.
We set up a large table to hold all of the food. Hopefully our guests brought their appetites! One thing we never skimp on for any of our parties is food! We went a bit crazy with appetizers and side dishes, but luckily we had enough room for the burgers and dogs!
E picked a watermelon cake that she absolutely had to have for her birthday, so we decided to make it a theme! You can find this cute sign here.
My mom made the cake (s) and cake pops. She is super talented! Everyone went crazy over the cuteness!
Here is a close up of the inside of the cake pops! I don’t know how she did it!
In addition to the cake we had a mini pie bar. Funny enough all the guests that brought pie got them from the same place and without coordinating, everyone got different pies! If you are ever in the Cumberland area Phantom Farms makes the best homemade pies!

The girls couldn’t wait to dig in to their cakes!
As you can see L really enjoyed her piece!
After consuming all of that sugar we decided to break out our new slip and slide! Boy am I glad we did! The kids had a blast! Even Grandma got in on the action.
We all had a blast! There is nothing better than getting together with family!
